About Me

Born and raised in Colorado, Perry Santanachote traded mountain peaks for skyscrapers when she moved to New York City to attend the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. She reports on anything and everything that can be lumped into the broad category that is Arts & Culture.
As a multimedia journalist, she approaches a story in much the same way that her dog, Gracie, approaches the world: with enthusiasm for even the most mundane details, an eagerness to greet everyone that so much as glances her way and a keen ability to follow a scent trail.
Perry holds a B.A. in anthropology from Metropolitan State College of Denver and contributes to Closettour, Dossier Journal, DNAinfo, Mizzima and The New York Times blog, The Local.
